Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2025

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using GetHook ("Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

GetHook provides a Webhook Reliability Gateway — infrastructure for receiving inbound webhooks, persisting them durably, forwarding them to configured destinations, retrying failures, and replaying past events. Features vary by plan.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or any illegal content.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without written authorisation.
  • Use the Service in a way that degrades performance for other customers.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Service.

5. Plans and Payment

The Free plan is provided at no charge with usage limits described on our pricing page. Paid plans (Pro, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually. Prices may change with 30 days notice. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of the webhook payloads you transmit. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service.

7. Service Level

We target 99.9% monthly uptime for API ingestion on paid plans. Scheduled maintenance and events outside our reasonable control are excluded. Our sole remedy for SLA breaches is service credits, applied on request.

8. Intellectual Property

The GetHook platform, brand, and documentation are owned by us. The core engine is released under the MIT License — see the License page for the full text. Your data remains yours.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our retention policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
